I wish you all a very Happy 2023 and many Blessings for the New Year!
Thank you for your continued support. I am grateful for this and it has been very rewarding for the SIAMA team and me personally to have received so many positive reactions from you about our organization and services.
Looking back on 2022 it has been a turbulent year. The Corona pandemic is presently surging again in China and we are all faced with new challenges of which one is the continuing war in Ukraine that affects and touches all of us. Furthermore not forgetting the continuing conflicts and hardships around the world. I hope we can all find it in our heart to continue to be kind to one another and appreciate our life, family, friends and reach out to those fellow (wo)men who are in need. This is why I very much love what I and we do as SIAMA-Team, to help you in your endeavors to help others around the world.
As you probably know by now SIAMA (stands for: Society for the interest of active Missionaries Abroad) is not a regular travel agency. SIAMA is genuinely interested in you and the requirements you have on travel. You as our member belong to the SIAMA community. What is important for you, is important for us. Your opinion matters. Looking ahead: Travel, SIAMA and the year 2023
Airlines are recovering from their bad results in the previous years and their flight schedules are now almost back to normal. Airline fares are however more unpredictable than ever, especially with the present climate and energy crisis. The airline fares will increase and new/higher taxes may be levied as well. Of course SIAMA will keep you updated on any relevant travel news in the coming year but for now I would advise you to make plans and bookings early so that you will not encounter unpleasant surprises later on.
In 2023, in terms of our services, I would like to give you the opportunity to have online meetings with SIAMA staff to discuss your travel plans personally and implement more possibilities to reach us or contact you by Whatsapp. We will inform you later this year. Lastly, I have noted many of our members appreciate to read your comments on your own travel experience or about your Mission projects. Therefore if you can send us a short article about your Mission with a few photographs, we would gladly put that on our website or social media and share this with the other SIAMA members.
